A Cl7 timber-framed and plastered house, originally with a T shaped plan and
a cross wing at the east end. The crosswing was refronted in the late C18 and
raised 1 storey with grey gault brick, now painted, with a parapet and cornice.
3 storeys, attics and cellars. 4 window range, double-hung sashes with glazing
bars, in plain reveals. The end bays of the front each of 1 window range, break
forward slightly with 3-light windows. The ground storey windows have cornices
on console brackets. At the north end there is a 2 storeyed cart entrance with
exposed timber-framing (exposed due to C2O demolitions.). Roof tiled with a
coved eaves cornice. A C17 wing extends to the west at the north end with mainly
C18 fenestration. Roof tiled.RCHM (33).

All the listed buildings from No 19 to No 41 on the west side and
No 4 to No 20 on the east side form a group with Bawn Cottage, Bawn Close.
