A substantial C18 timber-framed and plastered house 2 storeys, attics and cellars.
5 window range, double-hung sashes with glazing bars, in flush cased frames,
with segmental heads. The south side has 2 window range with 2 square bays
on the ground storey. The attics are lit by small windows in the gables. A
central 6-panel door has a wood doorcase with panelled reveals, fluted pilasters,
a frieze and modillioned pediment and is approached by a flight of stops. Roof
tiled, double-pitched, with a good modillioned eaves conice. The interior has
C18 panelling, fireplaces and staircase.
All the listed buildings from No 4 to No 20 on the east side and
No 19 to No 41 on the west side form a group with Bawn Cottage, Bawn Close.
