House. C16 or earlier origin with circa 1772 facade. Timber framed and
plastered with hipped red plain tiled roof. 3 pedimented dormers. 2 storeys
and attics. Two symmetrically placed 2 storey bays to right and left.
Parapet. Wood modillion cornice. Rusticated quoins. 1:3:1 window range of
small paned vertically sliding sashes. Tuscan columns with moulded bases and
capitals support the central pedimented porch which has moulded frieze and
soffit. Plank and muntin door. 4 octagonal shaft chimney stack above door
and matching to left. Single external octagonal shaft chimney to right rear.
Internally a fine staircase, panelling and exposed chamfered joists and
framing.
