House. Late C15 and early C16. Timber framed and plastered with jettied
crosswings to left and right. Red plain tiled roof with ornate pierced ridge
tiles. Carved bargeboards and finials to crosswing gables. 2 storeys and
attics. 1:2:1 window range of mainly 3 light casements with transom. Those
to right crosswing with 3 light mullions either side, and with a 2 light
casement to attic. Enclosed off centre gabled porch with bargeboards and
finial. Vertically boarded door. Off centre red brick chimney with rectangular
base and 2 octagonal shafts with moulded capping. External red brick chimney
to right. Internally frame survives with moulded bridging and common joists.
Numerous original windows. C17 staircase lean-to at rear. Simple crown post
roof. RCHM 8.
