TL 74 SE BELCHAMP ST. PAUL KNOWLE GREEN,
3/73 Woodbarn's Farm-
house

GV II

House. C17 or earlier with later additions and alterations. Timber framed
and plastered. Red plain tiled roofs. Of 4 ranges including
bakehouse/brewhouse to left of main range and two attached crosswings to the
right. Left range is of 1 storey and attics with 2 3-light C19 casement windows
and 2 gabled dormers, with bargeboard and vertical sliding sashes with glazing
bars. Good plank and muntin door to left return and C17 external red brick
chimney stack. This has original internal fireplace and copper. Off centre red
brick chimney stack. Central range of 2 storeys, 1 window range of C18 small
paned vertical sliding sashes to left of which is a 2 panel door with top light
in a moulded surround. C20 red tiled hipped porch. Off-centre red brick
chimney stack. Right range of 1 storey and attic with one small paned casement
to front and left return. C20 half glazed door. Internally are chamfered beams
and C18 doors with original catches, etc. RCHM 11.
