House, mid-C17, altered in C20. Timber framed, plastered, roofed with handmade
red clay tiles. Main range of 4 bays aligned approx. NE-SW, aspect NW, with
axial chimney stack in second bay from SW end. Rear service wing from NE end
with end chimney stack. Single-storey C20 extension beyond, roofed with red
clay corrugated tiles. C20 tiled gabled porch to NE. 2 storeys with attics.
NW elevation has approx. central C19 4-panel door, in C18 shallow pedimented
doorcase. 4 C20 double-hung sash windows of 6 lights on each floor,
asymmetrically arranged. Pentice board on NE gable. Interior has axial beams
above both floors in main range, above ground floor in service wing, all plain-
chamfered with lamb's tongue stops. Exposed joists of vertical section,
unchamfered. Primary straight bracing in walls, plastered over. Hearths facing
SW at both floors have rounded inside corners. RCHM 13.
