3/11 Baythorne Bridge


Road bridge over River Stour, late C18/early C19. Red and blue bricks,
limestone copings. Aligned approx. N-S, 3 round arches over river and long
abutment ramps at ends, small cutwaters. Arches outlined with alternate red
and blue bricks, the remainder of red brick. Simple pilasters and band on W
side only. Copings of inverted V shape. 5 ties with cast iron roundels,
horizontally aligned on W side, irregular on E side.
