House, late C16, extended in C20. Timber framed, plastered, roofed with
handmade red clay tiles. 3 bays aligned approx. NE-SW, with 2 external chimney
stacks on NW wall, joined together. Large C20 extension to NW with many re-used
antique features. Small single-storey lean-to extension to SE, C20. 2 storeys.
The SE elevation has 2 double-hung sash windows of 24 lights, late C18/early
C19, on each floor and one C20 casement window on first floor. Jowled posts,
little exposed framing. Ground floor hearth in NE bay of moulded brick with
depressed arch and plastered spandrels. Hearth in middle room originally
similar, but arch has collapsed and been replaced with a mantel beam, and
fireplace converted to a cupboard. RCHM 11.
