6/25 Pump at the junction of
Church Lane and Mill
Road

Pump, C19. Cast iron. Body of square obelisk shape, with 4-sided neck to a
ball finial. Handle with pear-shaped knob. Inscription above spout 'Ransomes
Ipswich'. Inscription on back 'This well was sunk and pump errected by
voluntary contributions'. On all 4 sides, panels outlined by raised line
with reversed curves in corners.
