2/9 Sturmer Hall

Manor house, late C16, much altered in C20. Timber framed, plastered, roofed
with handmade red clay tiles. Main range aligned approx. NE-SW, aspect SE,
with 2 crosswings. 2-storey flat-roofed extension to rear, C20. 2 storeys
with attics. Central double doors in Ionic porch, 2 tripartite double-hung
sash windows and 4 double-hung sash windows on each floor, 2 more in attic
gables, all C20. All exterior features, including brick stacks, rebuilt or
refaced in C20. Inside, transverse beams with ovolo mouldings; all other
interior surfaces C20. Moated site. RCHM 2.
