Listing Text

3/3 Roost End Cottage

Small hall house, late C15/early C16, altered in C19 and C20. Timber framed,
plastered, thatched roof. Aligned approx. N-S, aspect W with one axial chimney
stack N of centre, and external chimney stack at S end. C20 crosswing to N
with chimney stack in N wall and roof of handmade red clay tiles. Main block
single storey with attics. 4-panel door, C19, and 5 C20 casement windows on
ground floor, one on first floor of crosswing. No dormers to front. Main
chimney rebuilt above roof level.
