Cottage. C16. Timber framed and plastered. Red plain tiled roof. 2 red brick
chimney stacks. Jetty to first floor gable. Barge boards to gable. 2 storeys
and attics. 3 window range of various leaded casements including 2 cross
transoms.. Ground floor with red plain tiled bay to right and gabled red tiled
porch. Frame exposed internally. Documentary evidence to 1533 when house was
called Rammages. Occupied until 1739 by the Canter family who were the family
reputed to have built the red brick church tower. RCHM 10.
