TL 83 NW GESTINGTHORPE THE STREET (WEST SIDE)
2/56 Gestingthorpe Hall. Dovecote
7.8.52 approx.100 metres south-
east of Hall.

GV II

Dovecote. C17. Timber framed and plastered with some brick repair and C19
batten decoration. Pyramidal red tiled roof with 4 apex gables and finhl, also
a gabled dormer to east face. Original moulded bargeboard to all gables.
Lintel over door carved and with initials I.E.A. probably I & A Elliston. Brick
built pigeon holes to east wall number approx. 130-140. Holes also remain in
other walls. RCHM 4.
