Stables. Early C18. Red brick with some flared headers. Red plain tiled
roofs. 1 storey & lofts. Central range with gabled crosswings to right & left.
Gable with band & vertically boarded loft doors with lugged arches including
window openings. 4 S tie plates & central vertically boarded door to each
crosswing, right crosswing with double doors and casement window. Left
crosswing with 2 small paned iron horizontal sliding sash windows, matching
windows with segmental heads to left return, also stone coping to parapet.
Central range with vertically boarded door with light over to left & double
doors to right. C 18 wooden bell cote with clock faces on base & arches
supporting a convex hipped roof surmounted by a weather vane. Cast iron stalls
& frames by Young & Co. London. Vertically boarded walls. RCHM2
