4/101 Wardens House

G.V. II

House. C16 or earlier with later additions and alterations. Timber framed
and plastered. Red plain tiled roof. With 2 crosswings and rear ranges.
Elaborate pierced barge boards to gables and eaves. Off centre red brick
chimney stack, rebuilt with 4 octagonal shafts. 2 Storeys 1:2:1 window range
to first floor. 1:1:2 range to ground floor, including 2 storey red tiled bay
to left. Most windows C19/C20 vertical sliding sashes with casements to bay.
Gabled porch with barge boards to right of bay. Double doors panelled with
3 lights. RCHM 13.
