TL 83 SW LITTLE MAPLESTEAD GESTINGTHORPE ROAD

GV II

Cottage. C18 or earlier with later alterations. Timber framed possibly with
some brick facing and panel plastered. Red plain tiled roof half hipped to
right. Central painted brick chimney stack. Dentilled eaves cornice. 1 storey
and attics. 2 flat headed dormers and one ground floor window, all small paned
horizontal sliding sashes. Door to right return. Included as a fairly
unaltered example of a rural type now becoming scarce. (q.v. 4/145).
