House, C17, extended in C19 and C20 now a public house. Timber framed,
plastered, roofed with handmade red clay tiles. 3 bays aligned E-W with central
chimney stack forming a lobby-entrance to the N. 2-bay extension to E with end
chimney stack, C18/19. Single-storey extension with slated lean-to roof to W,
C19. 2 single-storey extensions to rear with red clay pantiled roofs, C20. 2
storeys and attics. C20 door in pantiled gabled porch. Ground floor, one
double-hung sash window of 24 lights, early C19, one of 16 lights, early C19,
one C20 reproduction of the latter. First floor, 2 double-hung sash windows of
16 lights, early C19, one C20 reproduction of the latter, and one C19 horizontal
sliding sash window of 24 lights, early C19. The interior has chamfered beams
with lamb's tongue stops. RCHM 12.
