Barn approx. 40 metres NE of Upper Yeldham Hall

Aisled barn, early C17. Timber framed, weatherboarded, thatched roof (destroyed
by fire at time of survey, January 1984). 5 bays aligned approx. E-W with
midstrey to N. Jowled posts, arched braces to arcade plates, hanging knees to
tiebeams, face-halved and bladed scarfs, clasped purlin roof half-hipped. Roof
of midstrey of corrugated asbestos. Some of the arcade posts have been re-used
from a C13/14 barn, with trenches for passing-braces. RCHM 2.
