House, C17, altered in C20. Timber framed, plastered, roofed with red clay
tiles. 3 bays aligned approx. NE-SW, aspect SE, with axial chimney stack in
middle bay. C17/18 single-storey extension to rear of NE bay. C18 extension
to SW, single storey with attics, with external chimney stack on front wall,
and single-storey extension to rear of it, extensively modernised. 2 storeys.
2 plain boarded doors, one tiled gabled porch, 2-window range of C20 casements.
Some weatherbording on SW gable and rear extension. The interior has jowled
posts, axial beams with lamb's tongue and bar stops, exposed joists of
horizontal section (some renewed), some exposed framing, 2 hearths substantially
original, the SW with an oven door but no oven, the NE of curved interior with
the mantel beam renewed. RCHM 21.
