cottages. Timber framed, plastered, roofed with handmade red clay tiles. 2-bay
hall aligned approx. E-W, aspect S, with integral storeyed service bay to E, and
2-bay parlour/solar crosswing to W. C16 external chimney stack on rear wall of
hall, C19 external chimney stacks on and E walls. C20 single-storey extension
to rear, with corrugated asbestos roof. 2 storeys. 2 half-glazed doors, 3
double-hung sash windows of 6 lights, all late C19, one small C20 casement.
First floor, one C20 metal casement window on crosswing, and 3 more in gabled

The interior has some exposed framing, the original main frame almost complete.
The E bay has the original lodged floor with blocked stair trap; the hall has
an early C17 inserted floor consisting of axial beams chamfered with lamb's
tongue stops, and plain deep joists. The central truss has deep braces to the
cambered tiebeam, heavy crownpost chamfered and stopped with 4-way braces,
complete. The E end is of interrupted tiebeam construction. The roof of the
E bay has been rebuilt in softwood; otherwise the crownpost roofs are almost
complete. There has been some rebuilding of the main rear hearth.
