House. C16 or earlier origin. C18 facade. Timber framed. C18 red brick
facing. Red plain tiled roof. Central rebuilt red brick chimney stack with 2
diagonal attached shafts, and red brick chimney to left. Moulded eaves cornice.
2 storeys and cellar. Wings at rear. 6 window range of C18 small paned
vertically sliding sashes in moulded surrounds with gauged arches and keystones.
4 range of similar to right of ground floor. C18 small paned, flat headed bay
shop window to left. 6 panel door. Fluted pilasters with bases and capitals.
Moulded upsweep to frieze. Dentilled soffit to small flat canopy. Interior
contains much exposed timber framing. Cambered tie beans. Moulded first floor
beam. Halved and bridled scarfs to top plates. Original semi-circular red
brick back to first floor fireplace. C18 details including stick staircase,
doors, architraves, mouldings, reveal panels. C17 leaded light windows with
ironmongery at rear. C18/C19 cellar. C19 pump in kitchen.
