Description

TL 7833 SIBLE IiEDINGHAM POTTER STREET
(east side)
11/271 No. 7
(Formerly listed as Clare
Cottage and Cottage opposite
21 6 62 Swaynes)

GV II

House. C17 or earlier with later alterations and C18 facade. Timber framed and
panel plastered. Red plain tiled roof. Left red brick chimney stack. Moulded
eaves cornice. Two storey lean-to extension to left. Two storeys. Two window
range of vertically sliding sashes with glazing bars and ceiling level windows
to right and left. Central six panelled door, pilasters with moulded capitals,
moulded soffit to open pediment. There is some confusion with the former
listing which describes this house but gives the name Clare Cottage q.v. 11/270
it is probable that the name should have read "House opposite Swaynes and Clare
Cottage."
