Wrongly shown on O.S. map as Baptist Church. Cottage. Late C16, modernised and
extended c.1978. Timber framed, plastered, roofed with handmade red clay tiles.
3 bays facing W, with central chimney stack, C18. One-bay extension to S;
c.1978. One storey with attics. 3 C20 casement windows, 4 more in swept
dormers. C20 lean-to porch with side door. The interior has jowled posts,
heavy studding (partly replaced), an edge-halved and bridled scarf in the rear
wallplate, the front wallplate splinted over a similar scarf. 2 transverse
beams, one of which is ledged and tenoned to the posts, the other re-set.
Aperture for bread oven in side of hearth, removed. Most of the original
rafters are present, with a modern roof above.
