House. Late C16, extended in C20. Timber framed, plastered with some exposed
framing, roofed with handmade red clay tiles. 3 bays facing E, with central
chimney stack, lobby-entrance plan. C20 2-storey rear extension from right end,
and single-storey extension in rear angle. Large C20 porch. 2 storeys. 2-
window range of C20 casements, C20 door at front of porch. Grouped diagonal
shafts, rebuilt in C20. The interior has jowled posts, exposed heavy studding,
and straight corner bracing trenched inside studs. The left lower room has a
chamfered beam with lamb's tongue stops, the joists plastered to the soffits.
The right lower room has a chamfered beam with lamb's tongue stops, exposed
plain joists of large section, and large wood-burning brick hearth. Clasped
purlin roof with arched collars.
