8/151 Tudor Cottage

GV 21/12/67 II

Cottage. C18/C19 or earlier. Timber framed and plastered with batten
decoration. Half hipped thatched roof. Red pantile lean-to addition to left.
Central red brick chimney stack. One storey and attics. 1:2 window range of
casements with transoms. Central vertically boarded door with flat canopy on
brackets. At one time used as a Dame School. Probably mentioned in former
listing of Oak Cottage (30/588) as, adjoining tenements, together with No. 5
q.v. 8/149.
