7/239 Elms Farmhouse

GV II

House. C16 or earlier with later alterations and additions. Timber framed and
plastered. Red plain tiled roofs. Left lower range with roof outshot to first
floor. C19 3 light casement under. Right range with plastered rear gable,
front external gault chimney stack pierced by a C20 casement. Red brick forward
chimney stack to right of gable. 2 storeys. 3 various window range, one a C19
vertical sliding sash with side margins. C20 central door and french door to
right. Of complex plan. Chamfered bridging joists visible, also covered jetty
of original house. 2 red brick inglenook fireplaces, one at room angle.
