3/58 The Barretts


House. Late C17, altered in C20. Timber framed, plastered, roof thatched. 4
bays facing SE, with 2 axial stacks, and crosswing at left end, 1934. One
storey with attics. 4-window range of C20 casements, of which 3 upper windows
are in swept dormers. The interior has chamfered axial beams with lamb's tongue
stops, exposed joists of vertical section, and 2 large wood-burning hearths.
