approx. 15 metres south
of The Barretts

GV II

Ancillary building. Late C17, altered in C19 and C20. Timber framed,
plastered, roof thatched. 3 bays at right angles to Howe Street, with C19
external stack at rear end. One storey with attics. Street elevation, one C20
casement on each floor, roof half-hipped. Primary straight bracing, clasped
purlin roof. Apparently contemporary with the house (The Barretts), originally
an agricultural building, converted to a cottage in the C19. Listed for Group
Value.
