4/65 Coleman's Farmhouse

GV II

House. Circa 1570, altered in early C19, extended in late C19. Plastered,
slate roof. Main range facing NW, with one axial stack. Late C19 parallel
range to rear of left part, with one internal stack. Single-storey lean-to
extension along remainder of rear. 2 storeys. 4-window range of sashes of 20
lights, of which 3 on the ground floor are early C19 with crown glass, the
remainder later reproductions. C20 glazed door in early C19 reeded doorcase with
shallow dentilled hood. Dentilled band below eaves, modillioned eaves.
Low-pitched roof. Late Cl9 fretted bargeboards on gables. The interior of the
ground floor room to right of the stack has chamfered beams, and joists of
horizontal section with step stops and lamb's tongue stops.
