3/78 Mill End Cottage

GV II

Handed pair of cottages, now combined. Early C19. Timber framed, plastered,
roof thatched. 4 bays facing E, with central stack. C20 external stack at
right end. One storey with attics. 3 C20 casements on ground floor. On first
floor, 3 original 3-light windows, each with one wrought iron casement, all
diamond leaded. Plain boarded door. Monogram RB in oval plaque (for Ruggles-
Brise) on front elevation. Axial beams, exposed joists. Primary straight
bracing. Listed for Group Value. RCHM 32.
