Biggins Farmhouse

Barn. C17. Timber framed, plastered and weatherboarded, roofed with corrugated
asbestos. 5 bays aligned N-S with original midstrey to W. Lean-to shed at N
end. Jowled posts, heavy studding, primary strdght bracing. Arched braces to
tiebeams replaced by bolted hanging knees. Face-halved and bladed scarfs in
wallplates. Clasped purlin roof.
