Biggins Farmhouse

Barn. C18. Timber framed, plastered and weatherboarded, roofed with corrugated
asbestos. 5 bays aligned N-S, with original midstrey to W. Half-hipped at N
end and on midstrey. Main doorway to W boarded over. Primary straight bracing.
Bolted hanging knees to tiebeams. Collars and principals at half-bay intervals,
joggled butt-purlin roof. It is reported that an inscription records the fact
that this barn was moved from another site in the C18 or C19, but the inscrip-
tion was not located at the time of the survey, August 1984. Listed for Group
Value as part of complete farm complex.
