TL 62 NE GREAT BARDFIELD BRAINTREE ROAD

5/128 Wall extending eastwards
from barn of Great Lodge

GV II

Wall. C17, extended in C18/C19. Red brick in English bond, with half-round
moulded coping bricks. Butted against SE corner of brick barn, and originally
extending eastwards approx. 20 metres, twice extended to the east. Height
approx. 3.5 metres. The last 6 metres at the east end was originally approx.
one metre high, raised in the C18/C19 to the same height as the remainder, but
lacking the half-round coping.
