2/6 Barn approx. 10 metres
south-east of Newney's
Farmhouse

Barn. Late C17. Timber framed, weatherboarded, roofed with corrugated iron. 3
bays aligned approx. N-S with midstrey to W. Lean-to extensions on both sides
of midstrey, roofed with red clay pantiles, and another at N end roofed with
corrugated iron. Roof of midstrey half-hipped. Jowled posts to central bay,
unjowled posts elsewhere, primary straight bracing, clasped purlin roof
with straight wind-bracing. The roof was thatched until c.1962. Included for
group value.
