GV II
House. Early C17, altered in early C19. Timber framed, plastered, roofed with
handmade red clay tiles. 3 bays facing SE, with external stacks at both ends,
and 2-storey rear extension. 2 storeys. Ground floor, 2 C20 sashes. First
floor, 2 early C19 sashes of 16 lights with crown glass, and one C20 sash.
Central C20 door. Jowled posts, some studding exposed internally with curved
braces trenched to the inside, chamfered axial beams with lamb's tongue stops
and plain joists of vertical section. Probably built as a lobby-entrance house
with central stack, stack removed to form central entrance hall in C18/early
C19.
