approx. 5 metres north
of Panfield Farmhouse

GV II

Railings on dwarf wall, and gate. Early C19. Cast iron on gault brick.
Approx. 25 metres long, including gate and 4 stanchions. Stanchions square and
hollow, of scrolls and conventional foliage, each with 5 fleur de lys finials.
Cast iron railings, each bar with a fleur de lys head, and similar gate. Overall
height approx. one metre. Stanchion to left of gate marked 'Goss Rayne 1837',
referring to the Rayne Iron Foundry, still operating in 1984, 2 km to the S.
