House. Late C17, altered in C20. Timber framed, plastered, roof thatched. 4
bays facing NE, with stack one bay from right end against rear wall. One-bay
extension to right, C18. Single-storey lean-to extension to right, extending to
rear, C20. One storey with attics. 3 C20 casements and one C18 wrought iron
casement with diamond leading. 2 C20 casements in gabled dormers. C18/C19
plain boarded door. Roof half-hipped at right end. The interior has one
chamfered axial beam with lamb's tongue stops, plain joists of vertical section
supported on pegged clamps, a large wood-burning hearth facing to left, original
winder stair beside it. The left internal tiebeam has a fully framed doorway,
others severed or missing. Deeds in the possession of the owners trace the
copyhold back continuously to 1652. RCHM 34.
