GV II

House. C18 or earlier, altered in C19. Timber framed, plastered, roofed with
handmade red clay tiles. 4 bays facing SW, with axial stack one bay from left
end, and C20 external stack at right end. C19 2-storey extension behind left
end, and single-storey extension beyond, both with slate roofs. C20
single-storey lean-to extension in rear angle. 2 storeys. Ground floor, one
early C19 sash of 20 lights, one similar C20 sash, one late C19 sash of 16
lights, one C20 casement. First floor, 3 late C19 sashes of 16 lights. C20
door. In a C19 alteration a tunnel has been cut through the axial stack to form
a through entrance hall; the larger hearth to the right is blocked and plastered
over. Face-halved and bladed scarfs in wallplates. Interior mainly plastered.
