Pair of cottages, now combined. C18. Timber framed, plastered, roof formerly
thatched but without cladding at time of survey, June 1984. 4 bays facing NW,
with central chimney stack, and single-storey extension with hipped roof at
right end, C19. One storey with attics. 2 C19 horizontally sliding sashes of
24 lights and one C20 casement, 2 C19 horizontally sliding sashes of 12 lights
in gabled dormers. 2 plain boarded doors with shallow hoods on wooden brackets
of double ogee profile. The interior has exposed framing, some original wattle
and daub infill, primary straight bracing, chamfered transverse beams with
joists of vertical section. Central stack rebuilt. RCHM 42.
