Cartlodge. C17. Timber framed, some weatherboarding, roof thatched. 4 bays
aligned approx. N-S. The sides and ends are open to eaves level. N end
weatherboarded from tiebeam to collar. S end originally treated similarly but
now open. Roof half-hipped at both ends. One storey. Wide arched braces from
all posts to wallplates, fully jointed and pegged. Bolted knees to tiebeams.
Clasped purlin roof. At time or survey, October 1984, the frame was in good
order, the thatch was largely missing.
