GV II

House. C16, extended in C17 and early C19. Timber framed, plastered, roofed
with handmade red clay tiles and slate. 3/4 bays facing SE. C17 extension to
rear of right end, and small extension to left of the rear end of this. Early
C19 extension with internal stack to left of main range. 2 storeys. Ground
floor, one early C19 sash of 8 lights with crown glass, one C20 casement, one
C18 3-light window with wrought iron casement, rectangular leading and early
glass. First floor, 2 similar early C19 sashes, 2 similar C18 3-light windows.
2 6-panel doors with shallow hoods. Roof of left extension of shallow pitch,
hipped, slated, remainder tiled. The right return of the main range is jettied,
with 2 plain brackets. The left return of the left extension has 3 early C19
sashes similar to those at the front, and the rear elevation has one of 12
lights on the ground floor and one of 16 lights on the first floor, all with
crown glass. The rear elevation of the main range has 2 C18 windows on the
first floor, one of 3 lights and one of one light, with wrought iron casements
and rectangular leading. Interior not inspected in October 1984, but RCHM 24
reports jowled posts, cambered tiebeams and curved braces to them.
