10.10.85 Water Hall

GV II

House. Late C17, altered in C20. Timber framed, weatherboarded dado, plastered
above, some exposed framing at rear, roofed with handmade red clay tiles. 4
bays facing SE with axial stack in middle, and C20 stacks at left end and at
rear of right bay. Rear extension along full length. One storey with attics.
French windows, 4 C20 casements, and 3 more in gabled dormers, all with diamond
leading. C20 door. Roof half-hipped at left end only. The interior has
chamfered axial beams with lamb's tongue stops, exposed joists, primary straight
bracing exposd in walls, clasped purlin roof.
