1/49 Barn, 50 metres south east
of Borley Place


Barn. Early C15. Timber framed and plastered, with weatherboarded dado. Red
plain tile roof. Gabled porch to east. 5 bays long. Arch braced to tie bead
with tall down braced crown posts. Originally hipped, the gable ends are an
alteration of C17 with short side purlins. Jowled storey posts, curved wall
bracing and halved and bridled top plate scarfs. RCHM 3.
