Farmhouse. C15 and C17 with C19 external details. Timber framed and plastered
and of 2 storeys with gabled peg tiled roofs. 'H' plan form with 2 crosswings
and mid C19 extension on north end. The front has the two gabled and jet tied
crosswings and a higher ridge line over the hall. One gabled dormer in this
hall roof and an off centred ridgeline stack of L plan. Early C19 double hung
sash windows with small panes in the crosswings, hall and C19 extension.
Central to the hall is an early C19 door surround with panelled frieze, fluted
pilasters and original door with coloured glass inserts. Rear has long pegtiled
single storey lean-to and C19 conservatory and there is a gable and pegtiled
single storey extension on the south end. All gables have mid C19 fretted
bargeboards and finials. The south crosswing has an encased tiebeam with
steeply cambered profile and hall has timber framing of C17 manner. RCHM 5.
