GREAT HENNY HENNY STREET (WEST SIDE)

5/98 Henny Cottage

House. Late C14. Timber framed and plastered with thatched roof, gabled at
west and half hipped with gablet at east. Of one storey with attics with 2
eyebrow dormers in front slope. Lean-to extension on west end. One tall stack
on east end. Windows are C20 casements with leaded lights. Former small open
hall house with C16 inserted floor now partially removed. Widely spaced studs,
heavy arch bracing and interrupted tie beams at both high and low ends. One bay
to the west is a later extension. RCHM 4.
