Cottages

GV II

Pair of attached cottages. Early C19. Plastered with thatched roof. Half
H-plan facing S, with 3 internal stacks. One storey with attics. 1:2:1 window
range of Gothick casements of 2 lights in 2-centred heads, some with original
diamond leading. Similar windows at sides and on first floor of rear elevation,
5 C20 casements on ground floor. Doors in each return and at rear. Built by
Mrs. Mary Gee, owner of Colne House estate (Wherein I Dwell, Earls Colne WEA,
1983, 70).
