House. C16 and later, altered in C19. Timber framed, plastered, roofed with
handmade red plain tiles. C16 main range facing W with rear stack at right end.
C17 rear wing behind left end, with internal stack at the junction, stack to
left of it and single-storey lean-to extension beyond, and another lean-to
extension to rear. C17 stair tower in rear right angle, and lean-to extension
to right of it, roofed with slate. 2 storeys. Ground floor, 2 C19 sashes of 28
lights with margin glazing bars. First floor, 2 similar sashes and one central
C19 sash of 16 lights. Central early C19 6-panel door with fluted Tuscan
half-columns and flat hood. 2 octagonal shafts on right rear stack. Some C16
floor framing exposed. Early C19 staircase with stick balusters in C17
stair-tower. C18 corner cupboard with pilasters and semi-domed recess. RCHM
