Range of 3 attached houses. Early C19. Gault brick in Flemish bond, mainly
painted, and red brick at sides and rear, roofed with slate. 2 storeys and
cellars. Range facing E with internal stack at left end, 2 axial stacks, and
projecting stack of red brick, partly plastered, at right end. Nos. 2 and 6
have C20 2-storey rear extensions with flat roofs. No. 4 has a C20 2-storey
rear extension with slate roof. No. 2 (at the right end) has a 2-window range
of original sashes of 12 lights with crown glass, a 6-panel door with blocked
overlight in a plain doorcase with a moulded flat canopy, and one granite step;
a blocked doorway to a through-passage with a grill of turned balusters above;
segmental arch to cellar. No. 4 has a similar 2-window range and a smaller sash
over the door; 6-panel door, 4 panels glazed, in similar doorcase; semi-circular
arch to cellar with iron grill. No. 6 has a one-window range of similar sashes,
a 6-panel door with plain overlight and similar doorcase, one stone step, and
similar arch to cellar. Some plaster patching on front elevation. Hipped roof
of shallow pitch. Included for group value.
