Part of house, now house. C15, altered in C16 and C19. Timber framed,
plastered, roofed with handmade red plain tiles. 2-bay main range facing N, of
house which formerly included crosswings to E (no. 18, item 9/110, q.v.) and to
W (no. 14, item 9/108, q.v.). Internal stack to rear of ridge. Single-storey
lean-to to rear. 2 storeys and unlit attics. 3 mid-C19 sashes of 6 lights
(including marginal lights) on ground floor, and 2 on first floor. Flush 4-
panel door in simple doorcase with moulded pediment on profiled brackets. Plain
door to passage through at right. The front wall was originally set back from
the crosswings, but has been rebuilt in the late C16 to align with them, and
raised, enclosing the jowled posts of the original construction; the original
front wallplate is severed at the posts. Moulded jetty plate with spiral-leaf
carving, partly boxed in. Moulded joists of horizontal section. Chamfered
transverse and axial beams with lamb's tongue stops above first floor, with
attic floor of rebated boards. Butt-purlin roof, 2 purlins in each pitch,
stained with creosote. C20 grates. C19 quarter-turn stair with scrolled tread-
ends, hardwood handrail, stick balusters, newels possibly altered. Display
bracing of left crosswing exposed (item 9/110, q.v.). RCHM 70.
