TL 72 NE STISTED

1/251 Church Farmhouse

House. Circa 1600, extended in C18/19. Timber framed, roughcast rendered,
roofed with machine-made and handmade red plain tiles. 3 bays facing
approximately W, with central stack. C18/19 extension to right, with axial
stack at the junction, and single-storey wing to rear. External stack at left
end, and single-storey lean-to extension to left, extending to rear. 2 storeys.
Ground floor, one C19 horizontal sash of 4 lights, one small light, and 2 C20
casements. First floor, one similar horizontal sash and one C20 casement. One
C19 half-glazed door in lean-to porch of corrugated asbestos, and one C20
half-glazed door. The original building is roofed with machine-made tiles, the
right extension with handmade tiles. Chamfered axial beams, with lamb's tongue
and notch stops. Plain joists of horizontal section (some replaced by joists of
vertical section in front of right bay). C20 grate. Remainder of house not
inspected.
